HC-3 is an advanced instrument, specifically designed for the recovery and management of hydrocarbon-based refrigerants.
Redesigned with the service technician in mind, the unit is smaller and lighter, while maintaining robustness and reliability.
HC-3 is a semi-automatic unit and is suitable for use with A3 and A2L refrigerants used in domestic, commercial and automotive equipment.
The HC-3 unit is capable of recovering refrigerant in liquid or vapor phase and the changeover is automatic. During operation, the on-board oil separator removes oil in the recovered refrigerant, preventing contamination in the recovery cylinder.
The heat exchanger and air-cooled condenser make the unit particularly suitable for applications where the refrigerant can only be recovered as vapour, for example through access valves on air conditioning equipment.
The low pressure cut-off switch allows the unit to operate intermittently on vacuum, as required for refrigerant recovery from household refrigerators.
A self-discharge function is built into the units to prevent mixing of refrigerants.
The HC-3 is designed for field maintenance workers and is equipped with practical features: Pressure gauge to monitor pressure in the system A pressure gauge to indicate pressure in the recovery cylinder High and Low pressure indicators. Manual switch to extend recovery until you are certain the hoses are completely evacuated.
The sturdy painted steel case protects the unit and the central carrying handle provides space for the 5m power cable.

IMPORTANT: When working with HC refrigerants (highly flammable class A3), it is strongly recommended to use the HC-Air ventilation module. This safety device ensures that the work area is well ventilated and that any vapour, originating from a leak or release, is quickly dispersed.
