Fan with ATEX motor
RDA HC-AIR - Fan with ATEX motor for room ventilation during the recovery of flammable refrigerant gases R290 and R600a
Description
CHARACTERISTICS:
ATEX certified motor, electronically commutated for high efficiency
5m power cable with moulded plug
Non-sparking thermoplastic fan for high performance and low noise level
Compartment for storing the power cord
Sturdy painted steel structure
The HC-AIR module is an essential accessory to be used when transferring hydrocarbon refrigerant and should be considered in the risk assessment process.
Good ventilation in the work area will ensure that any vapours resulting from a leak or release will disperse rapidly.
The fan module should be placed at floor level near the work area and can be connected up to 5 meters away.
It is recommended to turn on the fan before the refrigerant management begins.
Safety procedure for the work area where HC systems are maintained:
The area must be well ventilated
There must be no ignition source within 3m of the system
The area must be monitored with a hydrocarbon detector
Recommended procedure for maintenance of units with HC:
Connect the HC-Air RDA module 3m away from your working area and place it at floor level
Connect RDA HC-3 3m from the work area and recover the hydrocarbon refrigerant
When the low pressure light is illuminated, switch the unit to low pressure and let it run for 1 minute
Pressurize the system with nitrogen to just above atmospheric pressure.
Using an HC sensor, verify that there is no hydrocarbon coolant in the air before lighting the brazing torch.
Unsolder the connections and complete the service operation.
