The LS-4 calibrated leak detector provides a useful reference, thanks to which the refrigeration technician can periodically check the correct sensitivity of his electronic leak detectors, both heated diode and infrared, both in the laboratory and directly on site.

This periodic check allows you to quickly identify any anomalies in the battery or sensor of the leak detector, which could compromise the proper functioning of the instrument.

When connected to the outlet valve of an R410A cylinder, the LS-4 calibrated leak produces a controlled flow corresponding to 5 grams/year. If the instrument is able to detect this leak, exiting the LS-4 calibrated leak, it will be proof that the leak detector is working correctly, and therefore complies with the requirements of the European regulation F-Gas 517/2014 (EN-14624).

The LS-4 calibrated leak consists of a sintered stainless steel element housed in a stainless steel body and a 1/4" SAE F. brass inlet connector for easy and safe connection to the ball valve mounted on the 1.1 liter GeneralGas KryoSmart canister containing R410A refrigerant gas. The LS-4 is a "source" for a reference leak corresponding to a value of 5 grams/year.
