The K-Leak tester is an indispensable piece of equipment, which allows you to pressurize refrigeration and air conditioning systems; the system works by simulating the operating pressure reached by the system, at the operating conditions of operation.

Using K-Leak, the refrigeration technician will be able to pressurize the system to the correct operating pressure, depending on the type of refrigerant gas used; the operating pressure is displayed on the pressure gauge, marked by coloured sectors depending on the gas loaded into the system.

Once the operating pressure has been reached, the refrigeration technician will be able to determine any leaks in the system, due to construction defects, component defects, “cold” welding or incorrectly executed flanging; these leaks will obviously cause a loss of pressure in the system, which will be easily identifiable by reading the pressure gauge, specifically designed for this purpose. Once the source of the leak has been identified, and remedied, the system, duly tested and optimized, can be made available to the user.

Using the kit with a nitrogen / 5% hydrogen mixture it is possible to identify leaks of less than 2 grams/year.

The K-Leak Tester nitrogen/hydrogen kit is composed of:
- Plastic case
- Yellow flexible hose, with ball valve and pressure gauge (with coloured sectors depending on the type of gas)
- Flexible hose length 1000 mm. yellow colour – 4000 psi
- Adapter ¼” SAE female – 5/16” SAE male
- Adapter ¼” SAE male – 5/16” female
- Nitrogen pressure reducer (maximum output pressure 50 bar)
- G-TEC nitrogen/5% hydrogen (N2-H2) cylinder - capacity 0.95 litres – N2/H2 mixture content 105 Nlt./114 gr. - Plastic support base for 0.95 lt nitrogen cylinder.
